ROCKET BUNNY & PANDEM: JAPANESE WIDEBODY DESIGN REDEFINED
Few names have influenced modern widebody culture as strongly as Rocket Bunny and PANDEM. From Japanese drift cars and classic European coupes to modern supercars, trucks, and kei cars, these unmistakable designs have transformed ordinary vehicles into rolling works of art.
TRACKUZA has now completed a major update to our Rocket Bunny | PANDEM collection. We updated product information and pricing, reorganized the collection by vehicle manufacturer, and added new kits for even more platforms.
Whether you are building a competitive drift car, a track-inspired street car, or a one-of-a-kind show vehicle, TRACKUZA can help you source an authentic TRA Kyoto kit for your project.
THE MAN BEHIND ROCKET BUNNY: KEI MIURA
Rocket Bunny and PANDEM were created under the direction of Kei Miura, founder, designer, and CEO of TRA Kyoto.
Miura is not simply the owner of the company—he is the creative force responsible for the proportions, body lines, aerodynamic details, and distinctive personality behind each design. His work draws inspiration from vintage Japanese race cars, classic European touring cars, drifting, time attack, bosozoku culture, and the aggressively modified street cars of Japan.
Miura’s design philosophy is especially recognizable through:
- Dramatically widened fenders
- Exposed hardware and bolt-on overfenders
- Deep front splitters and aerodynamic canards
- Extended side skirts
- Ducktail spoilers and oversized GT wings
- Low, wide, motorsport-inspired proportions
- Retro styling adapted to modern vehicles
One of his greatest talents is preserving the recognizable character of the original vehicle while giving it an entirely different presence.
WHERE ARE ROCKET BUNNY AND PANDEM LOCATED?
Rocket Bunny and PANDEM are produced by TRA Kyoto Co., Ltd., headquartered in Kumiyama-cho, Kuse District, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.
TRA Kyoto operates as a genuine design and manufacturing facility—not simply a company licensing its name to outside manufacturers. The company maintains control of its development process using equipment such as 3D vehicle scanners, CNC machining systems, laser-processing equipment, vacuum-forming machinery, and three-dimensional pipe-bending equipment.
This allows the team to scan vehicles, develop designs digitally, create molds, manufacture components, and refine each product under the same operation. TRA Kyoto’s official company information explains how this in-house capability supports the precision and consistency behind its aero products.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF ROCKET BUNNY AND PANDEM
Kei Miura built his reputation by combining hand-drawn concepts with modern digital manufacturing. His process developed into a combination of freehand design, complete vehicle scanning, CAD modeling, CNC machining, prototyping, and physical test fitting.
Rocket Bunny became internationally recognized through its radical designs for platforms such as the Nissan Silvia, Toyota 86, Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, Mazda RX-7, BMW E-series, and classic Datsun models. The brand became especially visible during the growth of global drift culture and the explosion of Japanese-inspired builds during the early 2010s.
Its vehicles quickly became fixtures at major automotive shows, drift events, time-attack competitions, and enthusiast gatherings worldwide.
Rocket Bunny and PANDEM are both registered TRA Kyoto brands. Rocket Bunny is best known for bold, aggressive, and sometimes exaggerated styling, while PANDEM often incorporates a more refined motorsport influence. Both share Kei Miura’s unmistakable design language and TRA Kyoto’s development process.
WHY ARE ROCKET BUNNY AND PANDEM KITS SO POPULAR?
Unmistakable Design
A Rocket Bunny or PANDEM build is immediately recognizable. These kits do more than add width—they completely change the proportions and personality of the vehicle.
Designs That Respect the Original Vehicle
Although the finished result can be extreme, the panels are designed around the vehicle’s existing body lines. The kit feels like a deliberate extension of the car instead of a collection of unrelated parts.
Authentic Japanese Car Culture
TRA Kyoto designs are connected directly to Japanese motorsports, drifting, vintage racing, street-car culture, and custom fabrication. Customers are purchasing more than fiberglass panels—they are purchasing a piece of modern Japanese automotive design.
Wide Selection of Platforms
Rocket Bunny and PANDEM kits are available for everything from classic Datsuns and Nissan Skylines to modern Corvettes, Supras, Porsches, pickup trucks, and compact Suzuki models.
Strong Resale and Recognition
Authentic TRA Kyoto builds are widely recognized within the automotive community. Proper documentation and genuine components can help distinguish a professionally built vehicle from one assembled using imitation aero parts.

AUTHENTICITY MATTERS
The popularity of Rocket Bunny and PANDEM has resulted in many copies appearing online. These reproductions may use lower-quality molds, incorrect proportions, inconsistent fiberglass thickness, or poorly aligned mounting surfaces.
TRACKUZA supplies genuine Rocket Bunny and PANDEM products manufactured for TRA Kyoto. Authentic components provide customers with the intended Kei Miura design, recognizable styling, proper product identity, and better long-term value.
MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTION
Most Rocket Bunny and PANDEM products are made to order. Estimated fulfillment is generally approximately four to twelve weeks, although actual timing can vary because of:
- TRA Kyoto’s production schedule
- Kit configuration and optional components
- International freight availability
- Customs processing
- Weather or transportation delays
- Final delivery location
Customers should begin ordering well before a scheduled paint appointment, installation date, show, race, or other project deadline.
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IS REQUIRED
A widebody conversion is not the same as installing a simple bolt-on accessory.
Depending on the vehicle and kit, installation can require cutting the original quarter panels, modifying inner fenders, sealing exposed metal, trimming fiberglass, drilling mounting holes, fabricating brackets, correcting panel surfaces, and completing professional bodywork and paint preparation.
Fiberglass components can also require minor adjustments or surface correction during test fitting. We strongly recommend choosing a body shop or fabrication facility with documented widebody installation experience.
Wheels, tires, suspension height, alignment, offsets, and brake clearance should also be planned before installation begins.
BUILD SOMETHING PEOPLE WILL REMEMBER
Rocket Bunny and PANDEM changed widebody culture because Kei Miura understood that enthusiasts wanted more than a slightly modified factory appearance. They wanted cars with identity, attitude, and visual impact.
That philosophy continues today through everything from a classic Datsun 240Z to an R35 GT-R, Corvette C8, Toyota GR86, Porsche Cayman, or even a Suzuki Twin converted to resemble a miniature Skyline GT-R.
